THE STORY

They fell in love and eloped to South Carolina. September 16th 1944, Jack Levi Currin & Mary Emogene McPhail became husband and wife. They both had a heart of gold and loved one another like there was no one else in the world. They moved to the outskirts of Lillington, where they made their forever home. They raised 4 children to become extraordinary women and men. They made a living from working hard and both put the true meaning to blue collar. I am sure that as time went on, they had their differences just like any married couple would. But one thing was for sure, they never gave up on one another. Jack Levi Currin passed away in March of 2001. Mary Emogene Currin stood strong and kept living her life even though she missed Jack terribly.
